The US vote is in

According to the November issue of Mothballs the US Modern Moth Class Association have almost unanimously voted to keep their spinnakers and not adopt the international rules. This decision doesn’t really surprise me given that Americans have a long history of doing things differently like: driving on the right side of the road, not adopting the metric system and having their own style of motor racing that only involves turning left.

Personally I think it’s a shame as it would be great to think of the International Moth as truly international, and an active fleet in the US would be a great thing for the class. Oh well, there’s always Canada.
