thanks for posting this guide, I could have used it a while ago
I got one tip I would like to add for the step by step lay up:
When you join the skins together it helps when you put the two halves into a vacuum bag and then put the clamps on the outside of the bag. This way you get at least some pressure on all parts of the skins.

thank you for all the information you’ve put here and in the whole blog.
A friend and I want to put his dinghy on foils. As I study aerospace engineering, I want to understand where I have to put which amount of fibers. My problem in calculating this are the loads which the foils have to withstand. How do you estimate the forces that act on the foil sections?
All my guesses lead to very few fibers compared with the amount you use. (4 layers of woven 163gsm glass seem to be enough for the horizontal foils…)
And do you know why noone seems to use glassfibers?
