Foiling gybe … check

It was bloody cold today when I got down to the club, and the breeze was a bit higher than I would have liked, so that ended the idea of heading out early.

The race rolled around and I went too early on the line and had to loop back and start on port. In a high speed Moth fleet you can’t afford mistakes like that and it was game over as far a results were concerned … not that I was going to finish anywhere above 6th anyway.

The boat is working brilliantly well, and is heaps faster and much more controllable, I went conservative today and dropped the ride hight down, to make sure I could get around in one piece and it worked a treat.

My down-winds were better as well, and I managed to finally nail a foil-gybe and had three others that were close … that is another box in the to-do list ticked :-)

This being only time I have sailed in the last four weeks, my fitness has really suffered, so I will have to do something about that.

I put my HelmetHERO wide camera on the boat today and have put a 10min version of the sail up on video … it’s not that exciting though.
